Welcome to Universal Beads & More. We are located in Northern, California. I will tell you a little about myself and why I have started this business. I started with making jewelry and making beads. The inspiration for my art comes from taking classes with other fellow artist and doing arts and crafts since I was five years old with my father, grandmother and aunt. Most of my family background comes from artist, jewelry makers, craft makers and teachers.
I have learned as an artist that you need to explore experiment and enjoy what nature has to offer you when it comes to being an artesian. Observing these facts and watching the other artists around me, I find that it enables me to adapt my artwork and bead making while I am able to embrace on colors, shapes, textures and forms. In beading and wired jewelry, I have discovered a median of expression for my creative soul! Sometimes I just can't stop the ideas just pop out all the time, even while doing simple day to day activities. Inspiration is another factor, so I take my time and observe one need when making piece jewelry for my clients, friends and family. When I experiment with beads that have many colors, shapes and forms I find that it can be challenging detail, but then again each unique piece of art is always a challenge one because it is the artist whom makes it a piece of enjoyment to others.
I enjoy making beaded jewelry for others; I chat to my customers and listen to their wishes while I watch their personality, looking also at what they normally wear. That is the base of my inspiration to make unique creations for them. I feel it is very fascinating to consider that beads have so much to offer to people as well as artist and we still find them to be beautiful, intriguing, and mystical.

What cutters work best for each project?
We will start the first question for Universal Beads & More that most people always ask us.
"People have said that there are particular cutters I should use for different project, but which ones do I use where? And can I just use scissors for things like Soft Flex"
" No, you shouldn't use scissors on Soft Flex or any beading wire. Since they're made from steel, they will chip up and destroy scissors very quickly. You also can't get a nice close cut. You should use a pair of wire cutters,
but not your best cutters to prolong their life. You also shouldn't use the cheapest pair you can find. Just like scissors, they'll get beaten up very quickly. Use a mid-range pair and when possible, cut further down the blades
to prolong the life of the fine tips.
For wire projects the easiest guideline is that the more you pay for your cutters, the finer and better the cuts you will get and the longer they will last. If you need to make a flush cut (one with an absolute flat edge, and no bevelling), find a pair of cutters that advertises that it gives a bevelled cut, and once again, the better quality, the better the cuts.
This gets really important if you will be making ear wires, or cutting rings to be fused or soldered, or any place where there can't be any sharp finish."

These are some of the samples of Chinese Crystal and wire work that we just finshed today! This is all sterling sliver, chinese and swarovski crystal. This is our newest piece! We make it in any size! We love the colors of it because it fits perfect with anything you may be wearing for the day or night out on the town.
This is our second famous "Fire" wirework necklace. The stone is Dichroic Glass wraped in red and gold wirework.
It is a one of a kind and no one will ever have one like it , as we only made one of them.

Celtic Charm in Blue Turquoise Neckalce
This is one of Universal Beads & More famous designs as alot of people request it. This necklace is made with sterling sliver, chinese crystals, sterling sliver spacers, all semi precious stone with a beautiful but simple sterling clasps. It comes with earrings or a braclet seperate price, but if purchase in a set Universal Beads & More will sell it for $130 but only online purchases. When we attend bead shows and art festivals this set does sell for $250 due to the high demand.
